Fighter worldwide box office collection day 1: On January 25, the highly anticipated film Fighter, featuring the dynamic duo of Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan, made its global debut. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film garnered attention and accolades on its opening day.

Film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan reported that Fighter achieved a remarkable ₹8.6 crore in overseas box office collections on its opening day. However, the movie did not see a release in Gulf countries and faced suspension in the UAE.
Global Box Office Triumph
Providing insights into the film’s global performance, Manobala Vijayabalan tweeted on Friday, “Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter is off to a flying start at the box office, registering fantastic figures across all markets worldwide.” The movie earned ₹23.25 crore in India (nett), ₹27.43 crore in India (gross), and ₹8.61 crore overseas, bringing the total worldwide collection to ₹36.04 crore.

Plot and Characters: A Glimpse into Fighter
The film narrates the story of Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania (Hrithik Roshan), Squadron Leader Minal Rathore (Deepika Padukone), and Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh (Anil Kapoor), along with other elite members of the IAF unit known as Air Dragons.

Fighter unfolds against the backdrop of escalating militant activities in the Srinagar Valley. To counter this threat, the Air Headquarters commissions a new and elite unit, the Air Dragons, serving as the first responders to any hostile activity. Comprising the best combat aviators selected from the IAF, the Air Dragons embark on a journey of sacrifice, facing the highs and lows of internal and external battles for the nation.

Apart from Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan, Fighter boasts a stellar cast featuring Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi. This film marks Deepika’s third collaboration with director Siddharth Anand, following Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008) and the 2023 blockbuster Pathaan. Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan and Siddharth Anand have previously joined forces for Bang Bang (2014) and the 2019 action film War.
