Since Vijay announced a political party – Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam – rumours have been afloat of other Tamil actors, like Vishal, following in his footsteps. Many reports also suggested that Vishal will be announcing the same on Wednesday. However, the actor shared a note on Instagram and X earlier in the day that suggested otherwise.
Commitment to Social Welfare
In the note, Vishal expressed his commitment to social welfare and charity initiatives. He emphasized his desire for his fan clubs to continue their charitable endeavors. Vishal wrote, “I am forever indebted to the people of Tamil Nadu who gave me status and recognition as one of you, as an actor and social worker.”
Charitable Endeavors
Vishal outlined the philanthropic efforts undertaken by his fan clubs, including the Devi Foundation, established in his mother’s name, which supports education for underprivileged students. Additionally, he mentioned a foundation in Abdul Kalam’s name that aids farmers.

No Political Ambitions
While acknowledging his involvement in welfare work, Vishal clarified that he does not seek political support in return for his efforts. He reiterated his commitment to serving the people through the People’s Welfare Movement, emphasizing his adherence to the principles espoused by Thiruvalluvar. Vishal concluded by expressing his readiness to step up for the people if future circumstances necessitate it.
