In preparation for the consecration of the Ram Mandir on January 22, 2024, Vodafone Idea (Vi) has successfully upgraded its network infrastructure in Ayodhya. The initiative, supported by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), the Government, and local authorities, is geared towards ensuring uninterrupted connectivity for an expected turnout of 7,000 dignitaries and visitors during the event.
In a recent press release, Vi highlighted the collaborative efforts with the Ayodhya Development Authority, Department of Public Work Department, Airport Authority, Police, and other stakeholders. This cooperation facilitated swift approvals for tower placement, material movement, and manpower deployment. Consequently, Vi has bolstered its network coverage, increased capacity, and enhanced backhaul connectivity across Ayodhya city.
Vi emphasized the expansion of network coverage, capacity augmentation, and improved backhaul connectivity, achieved through the addition of new sites and the upgrading and refarming of the L2100 spectrum. These enhancements ensure comprehensive coverage, extending to key locations such as Ayodhya Railway Station, Ram Mandir Campus, the Airport, and connecting highways to Lucknow and Varanasi.
