CBFC’s Shocking Cuts in Shahid Kapoor’s Latest Film! You Won’t Believe What Changed!

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has intervened in the upcoming romantic drama film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, making alterations to certain scenes and dialogue.

Scene Alterations

The CBFC has made significant cuts to a scene depicting a sexual act in the movie. According to Bollywood Hungama, the scene has been trimmed by 25%, with nine seconds of the sequence censored. The intimate moment, initially lasting 36 seconds, now clocks in at 27 seconds. Additionally, in the latter half of the film, the term ‘daru’ (alcohol) has been substituted with ‘drink’.

Audio Medication and Other Adjustments

Beyond scene edits, the CBFC has mandated an ‘audio medication’ for the film. Furthermore, they’ve directed the film’s team to incorporate an anti-smoking static message in Hindi, presented in larger, more legible fonts.

Certification and Runtime

Following these modifications, the CBFC granted the film a U/A certificate on February 2. The runtime, as stated in the censor certificate, stands at 143.15 minutes (2 hours 23 minutes and 15 seconds).

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya features Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles, offering a unique narrative set in the realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Storyline

The film delves into an improbable love story, exploring uncharted territories of AI. Shahid portrays a robotic scientist who develops emotions and eventually ties the knot with Kriti’s character, Sifra, a highly intelligent female robot. The recently unveiled trailer hinted at Shahid’s character’s journey towards falling in love with the AI.

Production and Release

Penned and helmed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the movie is produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar. Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is slated for theatrical release on February 9, featuring performances from not only Shahid and Kriti but also Dimple Kapadia and Dharmendra.
